Alexandra's journey yesterday to Canterbury was a tale to be told. This morning she e-mailed me and this is what she wrote. "Well you know how today was supposed to be our day in CANTERBURY...well,
not so much. We had got our tickets for Canterbury on the same day that
we bought our Oxford tickets, and said, "we want to go to Canterbury,
like Canterbury Cathedral" and so she gave us our tickets, no problem.
So today we get to Paddington to go to Canterbury and we start our
voyage to find out that the lady gave us tickets to Kantbury. Never
heard of it?? That's because it's this tiny town 200 miles west of
London. So we go to get out at Kantbury and the doors close before we
get out, so this man(who I swear was an angel) asked us where we wanted
to go. He said that we wouldn't be going to Canterbury, but the next
stop, which was Hungerford, had a beautiful old house that had a lot of
history to it, called Littlecote Manor. So this guy, Russell, actually
knew a lot about the history of the house and took us on our personal
tour. So it actually turned out to be quite interesting and we had the
most delicious English meal at a pub: roast lamb, roast potatoes,
Yorkshire pudding, peas, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower. It was sooo
good, so it turned out to be a wonderful day, just not what we had
planned. We then went to "Jack the Ripper" walking tour, which was fun.
I can't wait to see Auntie Mary tomorrow...it's been a long time since
I've seen her. I'll call you after I get back, which might be later on,
because after Mary we are going to Harrods for tea and then MAMAMIA!!
But I will call you, so until then, much love...
Alexandra"
If there are any prayer bloggers out there please pray for God's guidance for us. We are thinking about moving to London and would like some confirmation and direction. My heart yearns to be back on that side of the ocean. We lived in London for 8 years. I pray that God would make a way not only for us but for the Jones as well. Please pray for us for God knows the beginning from the end. We want His best!
