Up today and feeling better. I think it takes one day per week to catch up with all the things one leaves behind when you go on missions. So, yesterday I tried to catch up with mail, phone calls, e-mails, unpacking, etc.
I feel a bit more organized and together. I'm still coasting off my Jamaican spiritual high. "It's all good" as a young Jamaican cook told me last week at Breezes in Montego Bay. I'm using his line all the time. Keep repeating it "it's all good". It works!
So, another Jamaican story. Oh! I have a good one. Second day we were having our medical clinic at the orphanage in Christiana. It was right after lunch and the lines were still long. I asked all the people still waiting to join me in a prayer circle outside the clinic. We all joined hands and sang Amazing Grace. It is wonderful, that singing connects people and changes the spiritual climate of a situtation. Where there was pain, anxiety, frustration, confusion, and general tension all those things drift away and peace replaces them. It is a gift from GOD. Then we prayed and we all prayed together, mightily beseeching God for His healing hand.
I was reading from Mel's book "Walk with Me" a line that said "We treat, God heals." It was perfect. God does heal, and the peace of God which knows no boundaries permeated the place and even inside the doctors said I could feel the peace, I experienced the change in atmosphere. I heard you singing. It was good.
