What a praise report I have to share with you this morning. GOD IS GOOD. The night and the darkness don't last forever.
GOD ANSWERS PRAYER!
Did I tell you that I lost my engagement ring. The one that Jan, my husband designed with my mother's diamond in the center. It was the sort of thing that had exceptional sentimental value.
I was doing some gardening and I remember putting it on in the morning. I had lost 20ish pounds and my rings were somewhat loose. (If your rings are loose, please resize them or take them off before you garden). You can buy a safety guard for less than $5.00. So, I come into the house at night when I'm ready for bed I realize that I only have three of the four rings I usually wear on my ring finger. My engagement ring is missing. Should I tell? Shouldn't I tell? What should I do? What would you do? I told my husband and I prayed.
Well he was very kind and said let it pass. I even rented a metal detector the following day and tried to find it but to no prevail. So, I let it go which is hard for a type A personality.
Little did I know that Jan was upset and he prayed. About a week later, Jan tells me that God told him where my ring was. That's an answer to prayer right there. Jan praying.
Yesterday I was going to get my daughter Alexandra and together with Jan and I we were going to systematically search this area. We weren't sure just how to. As I put down 20 bales of long leaf pine needles in the front of my yard.
Alexandra hadn't returned home from running some errands. I was outside and Jan was on the steps leading up to the main door. I reached down to push aside some of the pine needles in the area we were going to search. I thought we would start on the edge and maybe move toward the back of the plot we were searching through. But Jan said it's not there go about 4 paces ahead, I did. I reached down, pushed the new pine needles away from the old ones and there facing me was my ring. I wanted to cry. It felt like a miracle. Such a GOD MOMENT. Jan said God wanted you to have your engagement ring back.
I have been praising the LORD ever since. It was truly a gift on a number of levels. Jan's prayers, trusting in the LORD, waiting on Him, His Devine relation, our obedience to follow His leading. Rejoicing with my friends and prayer partners just like the women did in the Bible who lost her coin and swept out her house until she found it. When she did she went to her neighbors and celebrated with the.
GOD IS GOOD. Thank you Abba.
