Just heard my television pastor from More than Conquerers Center here in Charlotte preach a great sermon on "8 Cures for Worry". I'm going to attempt to put a few on paper in hopes that for someone they may offer help and hope. Some of the cures got my attention!
Faith is the opposite of Fear. You can't worry if you have faith, especially in God and His Word.
So, build your faith up.
Cast all your cares on Jesus. He can, while you can't.
Choose to let go of your fears, cares, anxieties and worries.
For He cares for you.
Ask yourself what I'm I carrying today that I can give to God who is able to take care of my situation?
Remember Jesus said to all "Come to Me, all of you who are heavy with cares and I will give you rest.
He is the Prince of Peace. God is the Father of Peace. Peace He gives us. Will we take it or let Satan steal it from us?
Renounce all our worries, fears, anxieties, cares. In the name of Jesus rebuke those firey darts that the enemy tries to hit us with everyday.
Prayer and Praise God.
I say memorize Phil 4. It is so rich. It also instructs us what to think about.
Most worry is from our bad thoughts. Satan can put the thought in our mind but it's us who dwell on it that can cause us to stay in the pit.
Think about right things. Again that Phil 4 chapter tells us what to dwell upon.
Don't live in the past.
Don't case away your confidence in God and in His Word.
Excersise self control. Don't get yourself in trouble. ie not managing your finances and then worrying about the situation you got yourself into. Just to name one of countless other situations that we chose to do what we know is wrong. Then are consumed by worry, fear, anxiety, torment etc.
Remember God is faithful to His own house.
God swore to bless and multiply His children.
Receive the peace that God offers.
