Listening to Pastor Gool this morning from Victory Christian Center in Charlotte, NC talking about not being a victim but a victor. Calling forth needs, desires, dreams, prayers as if they have already been appropriated even though they are not yet seen in the natural. I prayed that myself this morning. I prayed for Jan to give up smoking. Seeing him free from the addiciton that is so besetting him. I looked at www.biblegateway.com, the site has a topical index. I got this Scripture on Elijah calling forth fire from heaven. The pastor used the illustration of Joshua asking for the sun to do his bidding. Can you imagine asking God for time to standstill. Yet some prophets did just that asking God to move time. It was either forward or backward. But whichever it was it was still awesome.
What do you need today. I challenge you to call forth the need even though you don't see it realized yet.
1 Kings 18:26-38
36 At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: "O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. 37 Answer me, O LORD, answer me, so these people will know that you, O LORD, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again."
38 Then the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.
