So many thoughts and ideas running through my mind I don't know where to start. It seems like God is leading me into the field of fund raising and maybe even grant writing. It is a task very few people like doing and even fewer are gifted in this area. If it happens it will definately be all GOD'S doing. I'm just the vessel and a very cracked vessel as well. But the Potter can do miracles and has been using so many different vessels throughout the ages.
I was reading today about Joseph and Jesus. The challenge question was "Compare Christ's humiliation with Joseph's experiences before he was exalted". Then the next two questions read "Joseph has previously shown thoughful, selfless kindness to and consideration of peole around him. How did God use this to deliver him? What points in Phararoh's dreams must have alerted him to their unusual significance? How did Joseph refuse to take any glory to or for himself?"
Interesting questions. I answered them the best I could. My question to you is "What is God doing in your life today? Are you suffering for Him? Has He put you in a position of authority? Are you taking any of the credit or are you giving GOD all the glory. It's funny everything we have, every breath we take is a gift from GOD. Do you appreciate all that He does for you even in the midst of stuff?

Up before the sun rises in the morning. Today's Bible study was on Genesis 39-41. Two questions struck my spirit. The first was how many times was Joseph unjustly treated?
The second was "List some of the ways that God "makes a way of escape" for Joseph so that he can bear the trail. (Particularly Gen. 39-40, also 1 Corin. 10:13). List the verses where God's special care is indicated or implied.
Some promises of God that I'm going to try to meditate on are:
God will make a way of escape no matter what the temptation is. The lust of the flesh can be a powerful pull for me and for many.
But there is a way if we just stop and ask before we plunge into sin or destructive behavior.
Christ is the WAY!
God will show you and me the way out, so we will not give into the temptation.
Remember 1Corinthians 10:13 Amplified Bible (AMP)

13For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not [a]adjusted and [b]adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to [c]a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.

I was reading about Joseph's ordeal, anguish, suffering, and being sold into slavery. While being a bit down this morning. Somewhat full of worry about Jan's health, future, and then other assorted little worries. I think about that saying watch out for the little foxes they become big predators. I made that up having borrowed something from someone else.
Renewable energy, community living, joyfulness, laughter, connections, thoughts that are randomly going through my head interwined with that chorus of "Where am I going I don't know where am I heading I'm not certain, all I know is I am on my way".
One of the questions in my study this morning was paralleling Jesus' suffering with that of Joseph and ultimately with our own. How do I handle suffering. I usually look upon it as a leech trying to get rid of it, trying to get it off of me as soon as possible.

Happy Passover everyone! Yesterday was the first night of Passover. God told us to remember what He did for us forever. Jesus is the fulfillment of the sacrafice. He is the perfect LAMB of GOD.
I was doing my study this morning and I came upon an interesting question I'd like to share with you all.
Compare Gen 35:13 with Ex 33:11, Deut 5:24, Pro 6:22, Ezekiel 3:22 and John 14:23-24. What blessing have you received by reading these verses?

Today I was studying about how we purify ourselves before the LORD. It was an interesting study that I would like to share with you.
The question was for each set of references below give one truth about spiritual cleansing.
a) Exodus 19:14, Acts 2:38, James 4:8-10
b) Ps 51:7, 10 Is 1:16, 2 Corin 7:1 Heb 9:13-14, 1 John 1:7, 9
c) 1 Corin 10:20, Eph 5:5, 1 John 5:21

From what do you need to be personal cleansed?
What are some idols that we should put away (See Acts 19:19)

If you answer these questions share any spiritual nuggets with me.
May God bless you,
Mommilner

Today I was thinking about worry. I liked what William Inge said about worry. His quote is below. Interest paid before it's due. How many of us would actually do that in a real world situation. I would venture few if any. Why do we do it almost continually with life?
Overcoming Worry and Anxiety
By J. Steven Lang
CBN.com -- Christian author William R. Inge defined worry as "interest paid on trouble before it becomes due." Worry is the great plague of life, both for believers and unbelievers. It crosses all educational and economic and racial boundaries. It is human to worry, to fret, to fear something in the future.
Worry may be normal, but it also sinful. "Sinful?" you say. Definitely. The Bible is brimming over with promises to God's people that we need not worry, for God -- not we ourselves -- are in control of the universe.
Happy are those who fear the LORD . Yes, happy are those who delight in doing what he commands.
When darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous. All goes well for those who are generous, who lend freely and conduct their business fairly. Such people will not be overcome by evil circumstances. Those who are righteous will be long remembered. They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.
Psalm 112:1-8
Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
Psalm 55:22
As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands.
Psalm 119:143
Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.
Proverbs 12:15
Jesus himself, the Son of God, spoke many times on the subject of worry. Jesus chose to depend completely on his Father, and he promised his followers that they too could -- and should -- devote their lives to something more fruitful than worrying.
"I tell you, don't worry about everyday life -- whether you have enough food, drink, and clothes. Doesn't life consist of more than food and clothing? Look at the birds. They don't need to plant or harvest or put food in barns because your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than they are. Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? Of course not.
"And why worry about your clothes? Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don't work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't he more surely care for you? You have so little faith!
"So don't worry about having enough food or drink or clothing. Why be like the pagans who are so deeply concerned about these things? Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs, and he will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern.
"So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today."
Matthew 6:25-34
The apostle Paul, in the following passage, promised Christians that they could dispel worry by fixing their minds on good things, not on their own worries. It is one of the classic Bible passages on worry, one that people should engrave on their hearts.
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
And now, dear brothers and sisters, let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.
Philippians 4:6-8
