You know before I read the Word each day I ask in my spirit for the Lord to reveal something to me that would be helpful. Today's reading spoke to me, maybe it's because my friend Mary's son is struggling in his flesh. Maybe it's because I struggle there sometimes as well. It's the words of a loving parent wanting their child to turn from going the wrong way and get back on the right path.
Jer 6:16-17
16So now the LORD says, "Stop right where you are! Look for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls. But you reply, `No, that's not the road we want!' 17I set watchmen over you who said, `Listen for the sound of the trumpet!' But you replied, `No! We won't pay attention!'
