What do you do when crisis occurs in your life. How do you handle it? What do you do first? How do you get through it. Those where some of the questions I asked myself when I was going through Jan's illness and susequent surgery. But it is not only health issues, there are financial issues, marrital issues, decisions that need to be made, wisdom that's needed.
First I'll say, I am so grateful to all my prayer partners. The first thing I have learned to do in any storm of life is to pray and to seek God's guidance and peace through that particuliar need.
Then I go to the WORD and see if God says anything in relationship to what I'm going through.
Over and over The Lord has said fear not, do not be afraid, I'm going to take care of the problem, or see you through the storm. That has given me peace, which is wonderful.
Faith, God want to build our faith I have also observed. I guess sometimes He directs circumstances which make us rely on Him, trust in Him, wait on Him. I think He want to produce patience. That's not my long suit, but the older I get the more patience I think I am attaining. Or maybe it's faith, or trust, or a combination thereof.
I know that each day God was faithful and I got through it. I know that God provided for all of our needs and there was never a need that was not met.
Have faith, look up, trust, and have peace for our God is the great I AM for every need.
